Laboratory information
The Signal Processing lab currently includes eight experiments that are intended to familiarize students with the basics of signal processing, with some selected measurement methods such as correlation measurement technology and various fields of application such as speech signal or image processing.
The course will be given in English.
Preliminary discussion and group division
Due to the fixed number of experimental setups and the maximum group sizes, the number of participants is limited. Participation is therefore only possible after timely registration.
An introduction with all the important information as well as the group division will be uploaded as a video to the ILIAS-course on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024.
Experiment Dates
- The experiments take place every Wednesday. The morning session is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the afternoon session is from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- The internship takes place at the West Campus in our internship rooms at IIIT (building 06.35, 3rd floor).
- Attendance is mandatory for all experiments.
- In the event of illness, one alternative date is available

Execution of experiments
-
Preparatory tasks for the individual experiments must be completed and submitted before the experiment. These tasks are corrected during the experiment, returned and discussed with the group.
-
After each experiment, a test report must be created and submitted. A report template is provided.
-
Submitting one copy of the preparatory tasks and report per group is sufficient.
-
Submitting preparatory tasks and reports is a prerequisite for admission to the exam. If they are not submitted, the relevant participants will not be admitted to the exam!
Materials for the course
The experimental materials for the internship will be made available to participants in digital form. Old documents were published as a Book (Currently still the German version).
All other materials for the internship are provided in the associated ILIAS-course. The password for the course will be announced in the introductory event.
Signing up for the course
Signing up for the course can be done by sending an email to Thijs van Wijk containing your name, matriculation number, and preference for the morning or afternoon sessions (if any). If you wish to sign up as a group (max. 3), please also indicate the names of your partners.
