Relation of Workshop and Lecture

  • Knowledge of the lecture content is recommended for a successful participation in the workshop. But, usually, passing the written exam is not a prerequisite for taking part in the workshop. Vice versa, the attendance of the workshop is also not a prerequisite for taking part in the exam.
  • The following applies to students of the Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT), Mechatronics and Information Technology (MIT) as well as Biomedical Engineering:
According to the module handbook, the module "Signals and Systems" consists of two parts. The first part of the module, corresponding 7 ECTS, comprises the lecture and the tutorial with the corresponding written exam in the winter semester. The second part is the course  "Signals and Systems - Workshop", corresponding 1 ECTS, in the summer semester. Thus, the entire module "Signals and Systems" corresponds a total of 8 ECTS.
  • Students of other degree programs, please refer to your respective module handbook to see which parts make up the module applicable to your degree program.
